Family pics and a little update

Our month of December was really crazy, I'm always really good about sending out Christmas cards by the beginning of the month ever since the first year Eric and I got married. So much for that this year, I ended up sending a few out to grandparents and a few friends and think I actually stuck them in the mailbox Christmas eve. How great is that. Well here is a few from Christmas, pre-surgery. Back when I could hold my kids and walk down the street without feeling like I just ran a marathon. I'm doing a little better each day and some days I can see the light and the end of the tunnel. My cut is taking way to long to heal and I even started doing a laser treatment at my Chiropractor that is supposed to speed the healing process up. So cross your fingers that it heals fast and doesn't reopen anymore. I can already tell a big difference in my body and have to get used to not having a stomach ache almost everyday. I can tell all this pain is going to be worth it. My surgeon is so great, he said when he got in there my large intestine was twisted so bad that it looked like a pretzel. He thought he would be able to use my old scar from 9 years ago, which is like a c-section scar but realizing how bad it was in there he ended up cutting me from the bottom of my stomach to about 2 inches above my belly button. So when I woke up from surgery I was surprised to find a huge bandage on my stomach. It's been 18 days and today was my first day to have enough energy to walk to the neighbors. I'm really struggling with my energy and feeling nauseous all the time. Each day is a new day and I hope I continue to get better each day so I can take care of my family.
Thanks to these two people who have helped in ways we will never be able to repay. We love them so much and how selfless they are. My children are so blessed to have such wonderful grandparents.

Our crazy end to 2011 and start to 2012!

Our Chrismas was wonderful and we were so spoiled by Santa, we even got a new baby! Our month of December- January ended up being somewhat crazy. My sister got in some trouble so we will be fostering her 4 1/2 month old baby for the next 8 months. On top of that I need surgery and ended up in so much pain from it that I was admitted to the hospital for 2 days and just came home yesterday and now I'm headed down to Ogden Regional on Monday to have surgery and I will stay there for 3 days and have approx. a month recovery. Now I'm just trying to make it through the weekend of pain and get my surgery done. 9 years ago I had 80% of my large intestine removed and they should have taken it all. I'm having alot of pain when I eat and now my remaining large intestine is almost all the way closed and its making my small intestine inlarge and it is causing alot of pain. So after 4 days of no eating anything but clear fluids it's now a waiting game. Logan regional wanted me to do the surgery yesterday but I'm scheduled with a colon specialist down in Ogden and want everything to go perfect this time. So were just in hopes that my intestine doesn't explode. Good thing we have great family to help with the kids and hopefully I will heal quick. So here's to a easier and healthier Febuary!!

Riot really wanted to do gingerbread sleighs instead of a ginger bread house and they sleighs only lasted about a half hour. I think we will stick with gingerbread houses.

Riot's birthday weekend

My little Riot turned 4 on Friday, so we went ahead and started of the weekend early. Eric took the day off of work and we did whatever Riot wanted to do. The morning started off with German pancakes(his favorite, that only dad can make) then opening his first present of the day which was a video I had made of his first 4 years. It was a hit with both the kids. Next the rest of the presents, because he couldn't handle waiting any longer. Next we went to Chuck-A-Rama for lunch. The rest of the day was spent getting ready for the big friend party. Saturday we got pizza for lunch and all his friends came over for a "Despicable me" party. It turned out so fun and the kids had a blast. Sunday we had a family party and he got a lot more cool stuff.

Stuff Riot got spoiled with: Leapfrog computer, Sled, 2 Nerf guns, transformer, Lightning McQueen toy, Mater toy, remote control truck, Game, Wolverine Mask,Grabber, 2 movies, tractor, and other little toys. He was way spoiled. We are so blessed to have this cute kid in our lives and can't believe how fast the last 4 years have gone by.

My little guy is turning 4 today on 11-11-11. Four years ago my life changed in ways I would never imagine. I love this little guy so much and am so grateful to have him apart of our family. Happy birthday Riot!

Sugar

Well we finally decided on a dog to keep, Penny had puppies a couple months ago and we sold 2 out of the 3 and decided to keep a cute little girl. We named her Sugar and couldn't be more excited about how cute and fun she is! The kids love her so much! In Tayvia's words she "loves her to much". Now we just got to get her potty trained and I will love her even more.

Halloween

Well our Halloween was great! Eric had the day off so we had the day to hang out and get the kids dressed up. Riot had his school Halloween party and he had a blast, he is loving preschool. We painted his face right before we were leaving to go trick or treating and it lasted just for pictures. He started crying and saying it itched, poor kid. We took it off and he just had a red tint to his face all night. The kids loved trick or treating, especially Riot, he could have gone all night. He filled his whole pumpkin. Tayvia surprised me by actually keeping her hat on almost the whole night. She looked so cute, I can't believe how big my kiddos are getting.

I came home last night from taking pictures and the kids and Eric were out side carving pumpkins. Riot said he wanted a dinosaur so he got an alligator instead, close enough. Eric did great. These were the only pictures we took. Sad, I know.

We went for a ride up Millville canyon the other night. The air was so cool and the leaves were already changing. It was a fun ride, the kids love nothing more than a ride on the Razor.

Penny's puppies are a week old now and are getting bigger by the day. It amazes me every time she has a new litter how instinctive animals are. How do they know exactly what to do? They truly suck all her energy outof her, poor girl. She is such a good mommy.

1st day of preschool.

Our summer is coming to an end and we are very sad. We've had a crazy month and had lots of fun too. Riot got his cast off and with in 5 days had a close call to a broken foot but thanks to a lot of icing and ace bandages wrapped tight on his foot it is looking and feeling better, thank goodness! We were invited to the coolest slip in slide ever out in cove thanks to the Toone's and we had a blast it was the fastest thing ever, pictures truly don't do it justice. Penny had 3 puppies Thursday night(2 girls, 1 boy) and is doing great. We have the boy sold and are keeping one of the girls so if anyone is looking for a yorkie call me.4357647283. They will be very small, the dad was only 2 pounds and penny is 4 lbs. They will stay black. I did a booth for the Wellsville founders day celebration and it was a lot of work. I've been busy with pictures and Riot just started preschool. Tayvia is finally potty trained and is pooping in the toilet every time now!! YEA!!

Lovin summer

The last couple weeks have been crazy busy with all sorts of fun things. We had family here all last week from Washington & Montana, so we headed to Hyrum Dam for a whole day of boating a playing on the beach with 11 of their cousins the kids had a blast. We have been busy with softball 3 nights a week and we headed to Zions National park for my family reunion this last weekend. Pictures to come.

So I have 2 cousins and a sister that are all having babies in the next couple months, one was just born this last week so I have had lots of prego people to take pictures of. So fun! I love pregnant belly's. I threw my sister Natalie a baby shower and my sister in law Alexa helped me make cake pops, they turned out so cute. Nat got lots and me had a good time. Can't wait for her little guy to get here.

Just a little of what we have been up to. I know I'm not the greatest blogger, I tend to not post for a while than dump a whole lot of pictures from the last couple months. But nothing says it like pictures.
We took Penny down to breed with a male in Pleasant Grove last week so she will be expecting some very cute puppies in a couple months.

We finally got a new tramp, well we actually got 2 rectangle ones that are set up next to each other and the boys have been showing off their skills.

We took a quick trip out to Hyrum to go out on the boat but a storm came in so fast that we didn't even get out of the boat. It was all worth the kids smiles and Penny loved her first outing on the boat.

We are having lots of fun this summer, we had cousins stay the night last weekend and finished up swimming lessons Thursday. Riot is doing great with the water, the class gave him so much confidence. We got to go boating for the first time a couple nights ago and the kids loved it. We sold Dude and are looking for someone with a dark colored yorkie that wants to breed. So if anyone out there has a black and brown yorkie and wants to breed let us know.

This is how great summer is. This guy was so funny and was a amazing balloon guy at the Nibley carnival. We've had swim lessons this week everyday till next Friday and I have already had way to much sun. I find myself hiding in the dark in my house trying to get my sunburned skin to stop hurting, OUCH! My poor skin is way to sensitive these days and my poor hands are sun burned. How does that happen?????? only to me. They feel on fire as I type this. We have been way to busy but loving summer and all that goes with it. We have enjoyed playing at the pool everyday with cousins and friends and staying busy with Softball 3 nights a week. We also had lots of fun saturday going to the Nibley parade and summerfest.

Huge update

So we've had a busy couple of weeks, the week before last Eric took the week off. So we headed to Salt Lake for the night with the kids. The kids loved swimming at the hotel, we went to the aquarium and enjoyed spending a couple days together away. Then we headed home and did yard work and watched the river behind us feel up. Here's a huge picture overload....

Easter weekend

We had a crazy weekend. We started off Friday with Riot getting the flu, he woke up during the night Thursday throwing up, poor kid! But he was so cute, when he was done he said in a almost crying I feel like crap voice,"Mom can I go see if the Easter bunny came?" He has been so excited. We still managed to get eggs dyed, some yard work done and even sold the Rhino. Riot was almost in tears as it drove off with the new owner. He was like "what are we going to drive now?" We had a wonderful Easter! Riot was so excited for his basket and Tay enjoyed following in his excitement. We made it quick since we had 9 am church, after church all my family came over for dinner and lots of laughing. I even enjoyed being covered in barf from Tayvia Saturday morning after the Easter egg hunt, yuck:( The joy of being a mom!

Riot got a T-ball set with a bat, ball, and glove.

Tayvia got Beauty and the Beast and a dress, she did just have a birthday party last week so I really didn't want to get her much.

We celebrated Tayvia's birthday last week. We had a princess party and it turned out so cute. I found a cake online that I wanted to make. Whenever I have something in my head I picture it turning our exactly like that. Well many hours later and realizing fondant isn't all that easy, my cake turned out not so much like I had invisioned it to look like. My sister in law came over and helped me while my brother mocked every thing we tried to do to make it look better. When Eric got home he said isn't fondant supposed to be smooth?? Oh well, good thing she is only 2. At least it tasted yummy.

Yard

So as everyone probably knows the blacksmith river is flooding and our property line is the river, so we have had a lot of water in our back yard. This week we were supposed to get our dirt for our back yard but it has got put off due to the weather and flood stuff. Well last week we were getting ready for the dirt, taking out fence and what not. I was painting inside and Eric and Riot were out back working hard. I took a break to check on the progress of the fence removal and this is what I see.

It's friday night and before we had kids we would be planning something great to do, but calling a babysitter going to pick her up, getting kids ready for bed with instructions on what to do with them makes me oh so tired. Speaking of tired, Tayvia doesn't want to take naps this week and she is so tired by this time at night, which makes me oh so tired. I think so much for putting her in a bed like I've been planning on doing. I think I'm going to keep her in that crib till she's 5.
